Today, the R.O.C. Constitutional Court handed down Judgment 112-Hsien-Pan No. 9 to declare Item 2, Article 122 and Item 1, Article 133 of the current Code of Criminal Procedure unconstitutional. The decision is a veritable milestone in human rights protection in our country. With it, the Court honors the international standards of human rights and the rule of law and affirms the independence of lawyers in challenging the judiciary.
