Corporate and Investment
The dramatic changes in Taiwan's economy over the past few decades have brought about unprecedented opportunities and new challenges to the business sector.
Sensitive to the challenges our clients are facing, our lawyers represent both domestic and international clients in investment projects within and outside export processing zones, industrial zones and the Hsinchu Science Park. Noted for our excellent services in this practice area, we constantly participate in and help plan the worldwide investment promotion activities sponsored by the Taiwanese government and the formulation of legislations that shape the corporate and investment practices on the island.
Also, we counsel clients from various industries on corporate matters such as legal compliance, corporate governance, incorporation, registration and licensing of know-how. We also assist clients in handling legal matters related to their inbound and outbound investments, air and sea transportation, joint venture, technical cooperation, and drafting and review of agreements including joint venture agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, service agreements, sale and purchase agreements, and OEM agreements. We have advised on, among others, the structure and issuance of national lotteries.
In view of the growing economic ties between mainland China and Taiwan, we have established presence and alliances in mainland China. Our presence across the Taiwan Strait enables us to give clients timely, sound advice on their investments and business transactions between these two regions. Recently, we assisted several airlines in China, such as China Southern Airlines, in establishing a branch office in Taiwan. While we will continue to provide quality legal services to clients from China, our services go beyond the Greater China area; we collaborate closely with a number of foreign law firms to provide global legal services on corporate and investment matters.
