Lee and Li Received Three Major IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards in 2021
For our professional and sophisticated legal strength in the field of private equity, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets, Lee and Li is awarded the three major IFLR (International Financial Law Review) Asia-Pacific Awards in 2021.
1.National/jurisdictional Firm of the Year - Taiwan Firm of the Year
Lee and Li is awarded the National Firm of the Year in Taiwan and has held the position of the National Firm of the Year/Most Innovative National Firm of the Year for the past decades.
2.Deal of the Year - Project Finance Deal of the Year - Changfang and Xidao Offshore wind farms
Lee and Li represented the lenders in the project finance of Changfang and Xidao Offshore wind farms, which is invested by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. This project finance raised from the banks and financial institutions amounts to approximately USD 3 billion (NT$ 90 billion) and is the first one led by local bank (CTBC Bank Co., Ltd.) with both equity investment and lending from insurance companies, setting a record of the highest localization percentage in Taiwan by then.
3.Rising Star of the Year – Jessica Wang
Ms. Jessica Wang, an associate partner of Lee and Li and one of the expertise lies in capital markets practice and has participated in various types of deals in the recent years. In particular, Ms. Wang has advised a large amount of foreign issuers in issuing their non-TWD-denominated International Bonds/Formosa Bonds in Taiwan and has participated in over hundreds of deals. She was the lead associate of Lee and Li team participating in the first Sukuk issuance deal and State of Israel in its first USD-denominated bonds issuance in Taiwan, both closed in 2020. As Lee and Li team member, she advised on all relevant local regulatory issues in associated with the transactions in every aspects, working closely with all transaction parties and their advisers during the intensive course of the transactions.
