As the novel coronavirus continues to spread and cause disruptions globally, we would like to share the initiatives we have launched to address this public health emergency in the spirit of transparency.
In the earliest days of the coronavirus outbreak, we decisively created an infection prevention and containment taskforce to direct all response to the growing crisis. Face masks, hand sanitizers, and disinfectant supplies were immediately made available to all workers and visitors. New guidelines for work from home and telecommuting were released, and a back-up office was set up, all to ensure uninterrupted operations in the event of office closure or personnel quarantine.
We adhere to the self-isolation and quarantine advisories of the World Health Organization and relevant governing bodies in all jurisdictions in which we operate. Special approval is now required for business travel to destinations for which a travel warning has been issued, and we urge our employees to suspend trips abroad. All employees who are required to self-monitor upon returning from overseas are given quarantine leave.
If you are due to attend a meeting or event at one of our offices, and have been to, or have been in contact with anyone who has been to, an affected country or region in the past 14 days, or if you feel unwell, we are happy to discuss teleconferencing options.
The safety and health of our clients and employees are of paramount importance to us. As we strive to minimize the impact on our operations, we reaffirm our commitment to providing quality legal services to protect our clients’ interests.
