Following the webinar on "The Legal Framework of Digital Marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry" on April 24 this year, the IRPMA on July 10 hosted a seminar and a parallel webinar for IRPMA members on pharma digital marketing legal case studies, with a keynote speech by lawyer T. C. Chiang (a partner of this firm) who specializes in pharmaceutical industry practice. The physical seminar was held at the firm's newly opened conference venue. The seminar aimed to use case analysis to interpret the law enforcement standards of the regulatory authorities and provide practical insights on both traditional and digital marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, so as to enhance the legal knowledge of member companies.
 
Following the opening address by Jolie Chen (vice-chairman of COP Committee of IRPMA), T. C. Chiang introduced the difference between pharmaceutical advertisement and non-pharmaceutical advertisement, as well as relevant laws and regulations and practical insights. T. C. Chiang believes that pharmaceutical companies should understand the compliance risks relating to drug advertising enforcement standards of the regulatory authorities. This is not just a matter of possible fines, but also a matter of company records. Keep a little distance from the red line and understand the legal norms. This is the best steady business expansion strategy.
 
At the end of the webinar, three lawyers, T. C. Chiang, Kim Hung (BMS Legal and Compliance Lead) and Perry Tsai (Roche senior compliance manager) responded to questions raised by participants on site and online jointly.The seminar was concluded by Joyce Li's (the chairperson of COP Committee of IRPMA) closing speech. Lee and Li appreciated this opportunity to co-sponsor and lead the seminar and webinar hosted by IRPMA, delivering a true digital experience.
