Privacy Policy

Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law ("Lee and Li"), values each and every one of its clients' rights to the protection of their privacy and personal data (the "Data"). With this in mind, we ask you to please read carefully the following Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy (the "Policy"):

 

1.Scope of Data Collection
Lee and Li will collect, process and use the Data provided by clients for the purpose of providing legal services, legal updates and activity notifications, and conducting clients management and business promotion. Such Data may include individuals' names, corporate' names, departments, professional titles, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, postal addresses and other personal information as appropriate for the scope of representation.

The client may choose not to provide us with any Data but should do so with the understanding that this might affect Lee and Li's capability and efficiency to provide legal services.

 

2.Process and Use
Within the scope of the aforesaid purposes, Lee and Li, as well as its third party agents, will use the Data in the country or territory where Lee and Li or its third party agents are located. Lee and Li will retain the Data as collected unless otherwise instructed by the client. Regardless of the aforesaid, Lee and Li will continue to retain the Data as it deems necessary according to applicable laws.

Lee and Li as well as its third party agents may contact the client through non-encrypted e-mails, for the purpose of providing the client with its legal updates, publications, seminar news (whether held by Lee and Li or not), invitations, and other notices. (If the client does not wish to be contacted for such purpose, upon the client's written notification, Lee and Li will cease to provide the client with the aforementioned information.)

 

3.Client's Relevant Rights
The client may make a request for inspection or duplicates of the relevant Data collected by Lee and Li.

The client may request, in writing, Lee and Li to supplement, modify, cease to collect, process, use, or delete his/her personal information according to the Personal Data Protection Act. Lee and Li will respond to the request within 15 days after receiving such request. Under exceptional circumstances, this period may be extended for another 15 days if necessary, and Lee and Li will keep the client advised of such extension in writing.

The client is requested to contact Lee and Li in the manner and within the period specified in the notice from Lee and Li for inspection and or reproduction of his/her Data at the client's own costs. The client is requested to make another request with Lee and Li if he/she is not available in the manner and within the period specified.

 

4.Amendments to this Policy
Lee and Li will update this Policy from time to time on Lee and Li's website.
