Intellectual Property Office Publishes Five-Year Statistics on Revoked Administrative Decisions
In the Patent Examination Quality Advisory Committee held on 12 May 2021, the Intellectual Property Office ("IPO") published case statistics on administrative remedy for patent cases, including revocation of administrative decisions. The data are summarized as follows.

As indicated above, there was a reduction in the number of administrative lawsuits to the IP Court in 2020 to 67 cases, but the revocation rate remained around 26.32%; whereas in the same year the revocation rate for administrative appeals handled by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA, the supervisory government agency of the IPO) was only 2.38%.
