Jeffrey Li Jeffrey Li
Jeffrey Li is in the dispute resolution practice group of Lee and Li. In addition to international arbitration and civil litigation, he is experienced in the administrative appeals and litigation cases. The administrative dispute cases dealt by Jeffrey include natural resources and energy development applications and permits dispute, religious group's use of land dispute, soil and underground water pollution control or remediation dispute, sea shipping industry's report and check dispute, foreign company's challenge to the fine of the government, group's tax administrative litigation, tobacco advertisement dispute, and foreigner's investment application dispute, as well as the interim measures or administrative injunction remedy.
Jeffrey often assists foreign and local companies handling public law issues in the applications to the government and the interaction with the government. The issues include the application of new or previous laws, whether the company's reliance should be protected when there is new governmental measure, and whether certain government decision is proportionate. Jeffrey specializes in helping the client to solve the issues with the government via public law profession.
Jeffrey is also an expert in the field of constitution interpretation and litigation. He was a member of the team petitioning for the J.Y. Interpretations No. 737 and No. 740.
Jeffrey wrote multiple books and articles in the field of public law, litigation and arbitration.
