Lee and Li is a full-service law firm. We are leaders in each of our practice areas, and the expansion of our practice mirrors Taiwan's economic and democratic developments. Since the firm's inception, we have built the largest IP practice in Taiwan, and we were extensively involved in the phenomenal growth of foreign direct investment in the 1970s. We were a pioneer in developing the banking and capital markets practice in the 1980s, and played a pivotal role in the formation of the technology and law practice in the 1990s. Lee and Li continues this tradition of innovation by introducing the public works and government procurement practice in Taiwan. To consolidate our resources, we also formed special task forces addressing the needs of our clients in the mainland Chinese and Japanese markets. Our services are performed by people with different talents. Over 100 lawyers admitted in Taiwan work with CPAs, patent attorneys, trademark attorneys, and more than 100 technology experts. About 30 Lee and Li attorneys are admitted in foreign jurisdictions including New York and California. In response to the needs of our rapidly growing Japanese clientele, we have organized a Japanese task force. Members of this task force are highly proficient in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese and have the capability to support the needs of Japanese multinationals in every aspect of their business operations in Taiwan.

As an increasing number of clients are making significant investments in mainland China, we have also established a supporting legal network there. Our P.R.C. practice team works with experts in our Taipei head office and our alliance firms in Beijing to provide intellectual-property-related legal services, and in Shanghai to provide general business consulting services. Our P.R.C. practice team boasts members fluent in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese.
