David Tien's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, fund formation, corporate investment, food safety, and healthcare law.

David regularly advises PE funds and international and domestic companies pursuing cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He recently handled dormakaba's acquisition of the mechanical security business from Stanley Black & Decker; BK AsiaPac's sale of Taiwan Burger King business to Nexus Point Capital; and Taiwan-listed TSC Auto ID Technology's acquisition of U.S. Diversified Labeling Solutions, Inc.

David also represents many notable venture capital firms to invest in startups and provides legal assistance to startups, ranging from AI, IOT, blockchain, digital health, life science and livestreaming businesses. He also assists regional and domestic sponsors to form private investment funds, such as CDIB Capital Innovation Accelerator and the Taiwania Capital Buffalo II Bioventures, LP.

David often advises food and healthcare companies on various legal and compliance issues, covering topics of product registration, advertisement and labeling, unfair competition, consumer protection, data protection, labor, anti-corruption, and more.
