David Tien

Associate Partner

David Tien's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, corporate investments, food safety, and competition law.

David has advised private equity funds and international and domestic companies pursuing various cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He recently represented Zoetis Holdings in divesting its animal drug business to Yungshin Pharma; BK AsiaPac in selling Taiwan Burger King stores to Nexus Point Capital; and an overseas-listed healthcare provider in its investment in Taiwan medical clinics.

David also has extensive experience in handling venture capital financings in relation to AI, AR/VR, digital health, life science and livestreaming businesses, and successfully assisted a client in incorporating the first venture capital enterprise in the form of a limited partnership in Taiwan.

David regularly advises food and healthcare companies on legal compliance issues, which cover the topics of product registration, product advertisement and labeling, unfair competition, consumer protection, data protection, etc.
