The sale of corporate bonds and financial bonds is exempt from transfer tax for another ten years
The Securities Transaction Tax Act was amended in December 2016. Starting from 1 January 2017, the securities transaction tax ("STT") will continue not being levied on the sale of corporate bonds and financial bonds for another ten years until 31 December 2026. In addition, the STT will cease to be levied on the sale of the exchange-traded funds (ETF) with underlying investment targets that are mainly bonds.
